Work got hit hard today, looks like a new variant on and old virus - mail subject "Here you have" with a hyperlink inside that looks like a .pdf but isn't. I just deleted nearly 1000 copies of the mail after it hit the global address books, mail lists etc, spread in a matter of minutes.
If you get this, delete do not touch the link with a gaff hook even.
I've been following various forums worldwide, not sure why it hasn't hit the news - from when we got it the boards started getting messages about it from countries everywhere in minutes, some major companies whacked hard with it - saw Morgan Stanley mentioned on one, some place in Brazil on another.
If anyone clicked on the link in that “here you have” mail then your pc will be infected. There’s a repair tool on mcafee’s website here - https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/inde...9857&actp=LIST in section 2, called the ‘stinger’ tool. Full instructions on the page. The virus has been named ‘W32/VBMania@MM’ and there are already new variants turning up.
