I agree John. I only ever adjust exposure a bit in RAW files if its underexposed, and crop a pic. Apart from that I prefer trying to get a good scene without fiddling with it. Your analogy is a good one!

I usually do Newcastle to Kirkinner in 3 hours without breaking any limits but it can take longer especially when you get stuck behind a convoy heading to or from Stranraer ferries.

Spent a few hours at the more popular Isle Of Whithorn where I managed a small Pollack and later on 3 Mackerel (at once ...took me 5 minutes to land 'em - great fun!!)
Back next year with the "proper gear" I think - will try Eggerness Point and also there has got to be some big flatties in Garlieston I'm convinced of it as it looks perfect for them...also gonna take the Fly Rod as the Campsite has its own pondOoh a new vid!
