  • Door lock

Well I got in from late shift tonight to find out that my son had snapped his key in the front door ... .
Anyway ,I'm gonna try and sort the bit in the morning but if I can't how difficult is it to get and replace a barrel in a UPVC door .

Failing that can anyone recommend somone to sort it for me .
You can take the lad out of Walker but .......

It's a doddle mate, 1 screw on the edge of the door retains the barrel, take that out and just push it.

They are called "euro cylinders" - £15 at B&Q, might be worth trying a double glazing place I'm sure they were less than a fiver when I used to work on the windows.

They come in 2 lengths as far as I remember.

"SEKURA" on Pattison North industrial estate. Opposite Nissan. They make all conservatory and front doors. They also have a shop attached to the front of the factory.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible,
but P*****g everyone off is a piece of cake.

steve you will need to turn the barrel ,hopefully with the broken key ,to about the 2 O`clock position ,then the whole thing will slide out the frame
