My AOL contract is very good £12:99 a month and free phone calls. Not sure if it's available to new members though. SWMBO was just on about the Sky offer today lol as that was pretty good too.
Best thing to do is to give a few a ring as some of them have 0800 numbers, a bit time consuming but probably worth it in the end.

thanks for the reply jim, the sky deal is excellent, as I have said the broadband is faultless, but im paying to watch repeats over & over again ! if they would let me cancel the sky tv, I would just stick with the sky broadband, but thats not an option with sky ! it's all or nothing, so it's time for a change, bt is looking best upto now mate !

I had 2 sky reps at the door recently, they must of caught me in a good mood cos I let them get past saying hello before the door was closed, anyway they offered me phone, free calls, broadband & basic telly for £17 per month. I told them as that was only £1 cheaper than my cable deal I didn't want the hassle of changing over.
You could call they're bluff to get a better deal, they usually back track when you actually cancel.Cheers, Keith.

I'm with tiscali (now talk talk) and it's rubbish, as Lowrider says O2 do a canny package and it seems to be the best rated with the various broadband comparison websites, it's £7.50 if you have an O2 mobile phone or I think £12.99 if you don't unlimited usage and comes with a router, we're going to move to them asap.

I am with AOL but dont put there software on my PC and find it runs smoother if I use Firefox (dont get half as much spam) but have looked into BT and thought about the internet phone deal thrown in although I havn`t gone into a depth of research it might be worth looking into if family members have 3 network mobile phones you can ring them for nowt but again I think you can also do this with skype
Just a thought

Like Keith says try and bluff them into a better deal...sometimes works
I'm on Virgin and get 10mb Broadband, PAYG Landline and The Basic TV (Freeview more or less) for about £22 per month...you can get better Landline packages for a few quid more
Must admit 3 months into the Basic TV package and I don't miss the all the other channels half as much as I thought I might...just goes to show that they were all pantsOoh a new vid!

Just noticed this thread. I was with Sky, left and went to o2 when my router broke and their customer service was terrible. Lasted two weeks before I could stand it no longer and went back to Sky. The speeds I was getting were like dial up.
As I have 14 year old twins who are on both youtube and xbox live most of the time I couldnt stand the rows about it. Now my problem is that xbox live is terrible on the new Netgear routers and Sky don't have any Sagem ones left so if anybody has one lying around that they arent using... You can't even go and buy one either as they will only allow you to use theirsUKCC Level 2 Game Angling Coach

my sky router is a netgear, no problems with xbox live etc ! I suggest you go into your router settings & do a speedtest .

I was with AOL for years and the service was SH**E, swopped over to BT broadband 2 years ago. Spot on, average download speed is 6.5-6.8 MB. Even after the dreaded 6pm the speed is equally as good. I also have a 3 dongle 1MB for £10 per calender month, ideal for laptops and being on the road. They also do bigger packages so worth a look. You can log onto NESA whilst sitting on the pier/beach. Happy hunting, there loads out there.

I am with TalkTalk, 20.49 p/m which includes line rental + 24/7 01 & 02 numbers, 24/7 international calls & 0870 0845 off peak & to top it off i get 10mb broadband free with 40gb cap upgradable for 4 pound.
I was previously with BT & AOL & since going to talktalk 2 yrs ago i save 120 pounds per quarter.
