Does anyone know of anywhere in or around South Shields that still has sledges for sale? Went to get ours out of the shed at the weekend to find that we didn't bring it with us when we moved DOH!

Been as far as Washington this morning looking for what appears to be as rare as rocking horse poo. Had to turn back when the little'un hoyed up in the back of the car.
If anyone knows of any sledges ANYWHERE IN THE NE please give me a shout as the kids are about to lynch me!

Heavy duty bin liners not do the trick? (I know it's not as cool as a "proper" sled but if needs must...)
or if you can wait a couple of days...(plenty snow due to come)
Ooh a new vid!

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs
Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

Lol, what happened to the good old toboggan, I used to love the one I had when I was a kid. We used to do alsorts to make them go faster, candle grease on the runners was the most popular. I bet it didn't make a pinch of difference lol, as soon as the rust was off the runners and back to shiny steel they were as fast as anything, and almost as controlable as a VW bonnet
Jim.Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.

Sorted, thank you to all the lads on here who put me on the right track, ever tried to explain to a 2 and 4 year old why they don't have a sledge and then tried to fob them off with carrier bags and a pile ring lol? Laughing with Jim about the candle wax, I think it's the only reason my mam kept any in the house!
