Evening ladies and gents,
I've not been on the site for a long time as my job has meant I rarely get out fishing these days and have missed the last 4 winter seasons due to being away.
Anyway I have just received an email from the site notifying me that someone has tried to log into my account 5 times and been locked out for the next 15 minutes.
I want to make you aware of this and ask that if someone actually does access my account and starts to post anything offensive, could you immediately block my account and notify me via email.
I myself have never posted anything offensive to any member and don't plan on doing such a thing at any point. So I most certainly do not want to be hacked and made to look like I am.
Yes I appreciate that I could be posting this so I can log in and blame it all on my account being hacked, but will say that anyone on the site that knows me will verify that I don't operate that way and can be trusted in such matters.

Tony, no worries mate – its happened to most of us during the past few weeks. These people arnt “hackers” as such, just low level geeks who have found a malicious scripting program/software…anybody can get their hands on one.

Long as your password has not been set as “password” “abc123” “mypassword” and so on…you should be ok.

Its fine Tompa - we know what you are like As LiamNE has just explained it has been happening to a few members lately. Just make sure your password on here isn't used for anything important.
