X-Box 360 deals... if anyones buying for xmas...

Had a 360 for 2yrs now, kids want the bigger HDD, another controller and various games this xmas. Started pricing stuff up and had noticed our current machine is sounding noisey again (it's broke down 3 times and was replaced in January with a re-manufactured one under warranty, which is now out)... Started looking at the Elite since it would give us the drive, controller and mean our other machine could be put away as a spare.

Lots of bundle deals on but I found argos are running one only until 17th November - Elite console £194.77, offer is if you reserve for instore payment and pickup you can add an additional wireless controller and any 3 games.... there's no clarification on the website as to what a "game" is so I'm guessing it's not going to be the likes of the guitar hero kits with guitar. Here's the wording off the offer info page: "Free 3 games and additional wireless controller when you buy this console. Simply add all three items to your trolley, reserve for store collection and your saving will be calculated in store. Package price £194.77. Offer ends 17th November 2009."

EDIT - SCRATCH THAT, IT'S 3 SET GAMES AND RUBBISH ONES AT THAT, JUST RANG CUSTOMER SERVICES TO DOUBLE CHECK BEFORE I WENT TO COLLECT MY RESERVATION AND THEY CONFIRMED THE WORDING ON THE WEBSITE IS WRONG!

we have just getting the son the x-box for xmas , its the modern warfare 2 it comes with 2 black controllers,headset,and its got 250 g hard drive mate its £250 mate comes with the game as well ,limited edition ,seems good

aye, that's the Super-Elite model, been debating that one aswell.... picked up Modern Warfare 2 today at Sainsbury in Shiremoor (Northumberland Park). Games are cracking on the 360, not impressed with the reliability issues we had but the machines seem to be hit and miss with people either getting no problems or loads of them like we did plus side is microsoft are quick to get a duffer collected and sorted out.

i never get the chance to go on it he is always on the bloody thin g ,ahh i did get it for him ,the grafix are good on it never had a problemwith his console ,fingers crossed

best place to look for up to date deals is money saving expert. the mrs has just bought me an elite with 2 controllers 2 games and the memory pack for 139 from amazon as they had cocked up - she ordered it on the sunday using fast track and i had it before they could recall the order which loads of people had done to them.
