Think its bad now, wait until Jan window few mor eplayers go, odd rubbish come sin, dont make it up at 1st time of asking club up for sale again and its all down hill.
Dont you love the last few years.
Just going along with it all now and waiting for him to go until it improves any.
Well most Newcastle fans must be happy with Ashley, still getting 40.000 + for home gamesLets hope they wake up soon before SJP becomes a new Tesco or something similar.
I read a NOTW article online at the weekend, having a go at Ashley for changing the name of the ground. The writer was telling fans not to go to the home games and starve him out. He got this reply off one
"Your sentiments are sound but you aint a Geordie and you aint part of the Toon Army - we have no choice, we love the Toon and will always go to the match".
I could'nt believe that, the "fan"????? got a bit of stick from a few other Newcastle supporters as long as the home support is good then Ashley will be here to stay.
Richy, I don't think you will be far wrong with your January prediction. After all it won't be the first time he's done it.
Jim.
Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.
Personally don't care about the name change if the revenue generated from it is plumbed into the team which it has been "promised" it will (although that remains to be seen based on past assurances)
The average fan will still call the stadium St James' Park so in that sense I don't think it really matters - history counts for nowt in these hard business times
As to more people going I'm not convinced, I have a feeling the fat knacker is holding out for promotion back to the premiership...he's seen that a severely decimated squad can hold its own in the Championship and I have a feeling he'll actually spend some money (albeit not much) to bolster the squad in view to attaining that aim
Then he has a Premiership Club to sell not a Championship one
...just my thoughts on the matter
Ooh a new vid!

not a hope in hell. the clue is in the name. sportsdirect is struggling, he wants, needs and has a got a cheap way of raising brand awareness for his crap gear.
NUFC will not benefit a single penny from it. Its all about bolstering the fortunes of the rest of his businesses. There can be no doubt he cares not one jot about the club, just his own finances. He'll hope to get more in the premiership, and there will be potential offers, but as soon as he sees an offer he'll up the price again, and we'll go round the same old ****e once again

Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs
Do think it's a case of better the devil you know at the minute - if Barry Moat had come in Newcastle would have been in debt up to the eyeballs without any extra money for players as all the proposed funds were based on loans and a massive overdraft
At least the players are getting paid and the basic structure of the club is relatively stable - which is in stark contrast to a number of clubs both in the Premier League and the Championship
Ooh a new vid!
