as said great scenery.any chance of a few stories of when the clyde area fished its best.i aswell as alot of n/e anglers had the pleasure of fishing your area in the 70/s 80/s @ early 90/s,fishing garelock,holy/lock 'rhu narrows,l/long,to name a few.shingle beach would be frozen, aswell as our bait if you took it out of water bucket.COD upto 20lb were common.using fertilizer bags for our catch, not like carrier bags most of us use now.MEMORIES.IF YOU COULD,please find time to reply.hope yous 2 are well, reguards reg.

That's a bonny area you and Lynn live in Mark; and I think that snow always improves the look of a hilly landscape.

Reg I will go all nostalgic if you stop calling lochs, locks!

My Grandfather owned Cleat's bar in Gourock and I remember guys from the North East using the pub as their base. Many clubs came regularly every year. One club had a couple of spare places on their charter and invited my Grandfather to bring me along. this was 1967 and I was 7 years old. I don't remember much about the boat trip, but we went to the Gantocks and I think I did catch fish. At the end of the weekend they had a prize giving at the pub and the presented me with a plaque with my name on it and the club's name S.A.C. and the date. I still have the plaque!
