I have my views on the whole hunting with dogs thing but I will refrain from airing them on this occasion as the topic is about whether it would lead to a ban on fishing.
My opinion on that is no..It could not lead to a ban on fishing as they would never be able to police it properly. How many places do people know where they can fish with out being disturbed by anyone. Would the police climb down to a skeer to arrest someone who has probably had his/her hands in a bag full of worms, crabs, and or squid, has fishing guts and blood down the front of his/her flotation smock and all over their boots......I didn\'t think so..
If they did try to ban it would we take any notice of it anyway....I dunno...but i bet those who have boats would love it in the summer with the queues of people lining up at the local marina waiting to go out to sea to catch a few fishies....and anyway if they did ban it I would have to personally go down to 10 Downing Street and explain to Tony Blair (or is it Gordon Brown)that banning fishing is a very bad thing to do ( I can be very persuasive) and also put to them the fact that I would probably end up in court on a charge of murder cos I would have done Ian in cos of all of his constant whinging about not being able to go fishing....and I get the feeling that I would not be the only fishing widow to do so....
