  • finally im back after loads of hassle with a bunch of cowboys

a few months ago i couldn't pay my internet bill after having my hours reduced at work so i phoned my internet provider (i wont name them but you should work out who it is as im not the only person that has had this problem) to explain and they said ok but your services would be restricted. then a few weeks later i get a final bill with a £115 cancelation fee added to it so i phoned them and kicked off and they took the cancelation fee off and said it would be ok to pay my bill in a couple of weeks. job done i thought. then everything was off and a letter from the debt collectors arrived. a week later i payed my bill and i was told i'd have to pay a £25 charge before my services would be back on which would be deducted from my next bill but after paying over £300 i couldn't pay it so i agreed to pay it a week later. i phoned up a week later to pay the £25 and i was told i didn't have to pay it and they would re-order my services, a week passed and my phone was on but no internet so i phoned them again and they said i dont have a order for my internet , they ordered it again and finally it came back on today. has anyone else had problems like this.

Tony, that must have been a nightmare. There is nothing worse than trying to explain something to someone on the phone who is clearly neither listening or interested. Pleased to have you back mate

It was the same when I first started with AOL Tony, no really big problems but a few little ones that I could'nt do anything about myself. The first contact was nearly always a nightmare, talking to people that didn't know how to fix the problem but unwilling to pass me to the next level. Once I reached the second level the problem would be sorted in no time at all. The first level was always an English call centre but the second was in Ireland somewhere, I have never had service as polite and friendly as they were.

Just a pity we have to go through a PITA to get some help, I havn't had a problem with my SP for ages now, yes I know I should'nt be saying that lol. I will probably get no access to the net for a month now

Welcome back Tony. I havnt had any of those problems and by the sound of it I am pleased my service rovider has been very good to me, even giving me a second phone line free of charge and I can phone anywhere in the UK and Ireland for free as long as I keep the calls under 2 hours, then they advise you to hang up and redial after 5 minutes.
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible,
but P*****g everyone off is a piece of cake.
