Cable and fibre the same thing bud. I would talk to their retention team and tell them you're thinking of leaving before exploring other options. Other than that, I'd probably say bt is your best bet. I've been with virgin for years and have experienced shocking service and performance elsewhere

Dont go wi bt we had nowt but bother with the connection and service. ..why can't I just talk to a call centre staff that I can understand and can understand me lol . Broadband is running slow and dropping out of signal (phasing out) because servers cant handle what bt claim to provide. ..... told this by the engineer who tried to sort fibre optic for us!!!!

Alan stick with Virgin...it's the best of the lot. Big Kahuna bundle is 65quid all in...no cheaper than Sky but cable broadband is by far superiorOoh a new vid!

What you tend to find its that loads of people threaten to leave them in hope of them giving you a good deal to stay. The trick is go all the way and arrange a disconnection (30 days notice) so they know you are serious, however after a day or so they will be back onto you asking why you left and is there anything they can do to keep you. I have done it for the past two years and got great deals. Also if you do agree on a contract get them to guarantee that they won't put it up within the 12 months. of course there could be an element of risk in that they just let you go but I doubt it very much. Plus BT's Internet is nothing compared to Virgin. Good luck.
