400 temps paid off yesterday and the other 800 permanent staff to go by April ,I've been there almost 20 years and it's been looking poor for a while but it's still a shock as we've been through some hard times before .

The knock on effect on suppliers etc. hasn't hardly been felt yet ,it was sad when they paid the Unipress lads off the other week .

It's just another casualty of what's going on around us all ........ we're all waiting and feeling the pressure.
You can take the lad out of Walker but .......

        100 at Unipress
        95 at Jonson Contros
        95 at Vantec
        10 at Valeo
        and the list goes on.

Its going to be a hard year for everyone.
The only thing that worries me now is, with all this time we have on our hands we are bound to go fishing. Can our coastline take the strain?
As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is impossible,
but P*****g everyone off is a piece of cake.
