I don't think you have quite grasped the argument. Higher wages in the South East, but the difference does not make up for the much higher cost of living. Erm, I'm pretty sure I did grasp it, He said Mark wants to trying living down south with average wages and everything more expensive,I said the wages are better down south to which he replied I am ill informed!!
Yes the cost of living is more expensive down south but the fact still remains they get better wages than we do for the same working hours so his argument is totally pointless

On the plus side I can now apply to renew my passport and I might, while I'm at it, take advantage of the boost in the pound today and go and get some Zlotys for our trip to Gdansk in April.
£1 = 5.35PLN, result!
