new members-strange names

seems to be a lot of members joining this site with strange names,and not posting anything.
anyone got any thoughts on this?

No interest in posting so just use silly names,no doubt thinking that is really geet clever

Spammers Stevie, as they join I delete them. That is why everyone joining now has to be verified before they can post mate. It saves having to delete loads of rubbish from the forum. I did almost twenty today at tea time, another few waiting already.

Of course,i stand corrected but the verifaction system is far better then those daft number/letter combos.

Spammers. All the forums are being plagued by them at the minute. We currently have a system in place so all new members have to get admin approval before they are let loose Thats why they try to register then dont post - they have been banned

Been stacks turning up on the evening chron/journal forums I've noticed, same thing everytime - some daft websites claiming to sell cheap branded footwear, all of them registered to various chinese names (all variations on similar names too).

Strange names? Take a look at some senior members, moderators and administrators. Do these names appear on your birth certificates? I think not.
