  • Powerpoint probs??

Microsoft Office Powerpoint that is. I'm trying to bring up some files that I need for work and I'm getting the message:

"You are attempting to open a file type that is blocked by your registry policy setting"

They used to open OK and I haven't changed anything obvious. I'm using Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003 if it makes any difference.

    Any ideas lads/lasses?

Information about certain file types that are blocked after you install Office 2003 Service Pack 3

you gotta love miscrosoft! "For you're own safety, we've decided you're not allowed to open any of your own files"

      Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

Have you tried the "open with " option Rob ,I had a similar problem months ago but can't remember if that's how I got around it.

Steve, Try downloading a format converter from Microsoft. I had all sorts of problems when I changed from XP to Vista, couldnt open a lot of files untill I got the converter. Now all is ok.
