I was always sceptical over the signing of Keegan, but I thought/hoped/prayed that Ashley had made a brilliant business/PR decision...seems he should stick to what he does best which is buying and selling businesses for a quick buck...move on Mr Ashley

ahh the Entertainers, keeping the back pages entertained for the next few weeks

had my suspicions about this one since last season when it was pretty clear KK and Ashley were far from seeing eye to eye, so not a huge surprise.

Credit where its due to them down the road though, not going for a quick fix but trying to build summats steadily.

Maybe Ashley, in order to keep a bit of credibility, will offer Owen anything he wants to keep him here

looks like some sort of stalemate between KK and NUFC. The club has stated he's not sacked and put the ball in KK's court. I think KK's given them an ultimatum, something like "it's him or me" (re Dennis the dwarf)

Translation of the NUFC statement:

"There was a big row with KK. Its all over and he's not coming back. He's gone. However, in an effort to avoid paying him any compo, we have to make it seem like he resigned and we didn't sack him. So we now need to say that we think he's really great, we haven't sacked him, and we'd love him to continue being manager. Except we don't really mean this. But our lawyers tell us that we have to say it so that we can show it to the Employment Tribunal later when he tries to sue us for constructive dismissal. Sorry its taken so long to issue this statement, but our lawyers have spent all afternoon carefully writing this."
