Having prob's hitting the main site, forums seem okay though.
As for the adverts, I'm seeing about 95% fishing related, a couple of game adverts, insurance stuff, only slightly dodgy advert is for some Scottish gay fitness thing but there's nothing porno on it. The ad's look to be mostly google so presumably like the ones on gmail they'll target keywords/subjects, some possibly using cache info (ie stop looking at porn and clear your cache, cookies and temp files and it should sort it out!)....

I'm just hoping the ones seeing the dodgy adverts are on home machines, lest their gaffers find out what else they seem to be browsing if the ad's are being triggered by other content/site visits!

I get this screen message all the time...

Pain in the a$$ to be blunt...as to the adverts there were some real dodgy ones the other week Also agree with what's been said about the "Comments on NESA Articles" part of the forum...waste of space really

Admittedly these sites have to be paid for somehow - this site isn't as bad as others - the Sea Angler one frequently crashes on load up, more than likely due to the massive amount of advertising and fancy imagery...

I read somewhere that Net Surfers are becoming more and more savvy and if a site starts messing them about IE long loading times, excessive adverts etc then they simply go elsewhere...like others already have by the sound of things
            Ooh a new vid!

The "Comments on NESA...." part of the site seems to be using a Vivvo CMS content feed, that's a bit pointless and annoying like you say since the stuff is all out of date ebay, but I just ignore that section.

The ad's though are content driven, the system crawls the site for content keywords and bases the ad's on that - if they're dodgy then maybe it's hit the Barmaid's and picked up some of the jokes in there, that would explain filth ads if there's a rude joke with a keyword in that it's latched onto. Probably just needs the settings in googles ad system altering to block certain content levels.

I have no problems getting on nesa but I do get the Database Error thingy and sometimes a white screen.

Has anyone actually clicked on a ad and bought something?

P.S. I like to gut fish and run my fingers through my hair, mmmm
