Off we headed to Jarrow today to pick up wood chips for our new smoker we are getting from Davy tonight. (Having dinner with him and his wife Jill.)
Arrived and I was disappointed to see Wilkinson's was in the middle of a retail park, as I knew we woudn't get out for ages! It took an hour just to get to the shop only to be told they didn't stock any!! Tried Morrison's and same result. I noticed my wallet wasn't in my pocket but presumed I had left it in the car when I took it out to pay the tunnel.
Back at the car the wallet was nowhere to be found! Now being a canny Scot I have a day wallet with just cash, no cards etc. Good if you lose it, but a gift if someone finds it as they just pocket the cash, £30 plus today. Lynn, looking at the windscreen said "Oh well at least we have a free ticket to "Planet Circus."
I took it off the screen and chucked it onto the dashboard. Fortunately Lynn noticed a message on the reverse side which said "Wallet with customer service!" I went back o the shop and there it was with all the money still in it!
Morrison's take the contact details of the person who handed it in so I called the lady and thanked her so much. Great to know honesty still exists.
Got the wood hips at B&Q.
PS Lynn couldn't have cared less about my £30 but she was mad I lost the wallet, as she had bought me it!

We only have a small shopping centre with a Morrisons. If it was the Jarrow Morrisons it is quite good for getting lost property back, me and our lass have left cards and phones a few times and always got them back. As you say, good to know there are a few honest people about.
