  • Making/Fixing stuff (lures, upholstery, whatever)

Just thought to mention this place in case anyone doesn't know about it for all kinds of craft type stuff:

    Dainty Supplies Ltd
35, Phoenix Rd, Washington, Tyne and Wear NE38 0AD
    Tel: 0191 4167886
    CraftOnline

My sister and neice are into the whole arty crafty thing, can get owt there from stuff for weddings to all kinds of materials, feathers, paints, you name it. When we got the 944 it had a tear in the leatherette on the headlining in one place and more noticably the cassette box lid. New cassette box was £30-ish, cost me a fiver for a full metre of the identical stuff at Dainty and I've got, well, 9/10ths of a metre left!! lol.

Figured it's a canny place (it's massive inside) if anyone is wanting to wander around and find stuff to make lures or owt else from, plenty of beads, fluffy stuff, shiny stuff, glues, threads, blah, blah, blah, you name it and the prices are pretty darned good (example, the leatherette was a fiver there but a tenner for the exact same at a fabric place near Benton Hypermarket).

Do me a favour Lee, ask your sister and neice if they have seen any small plastic needles for needlecraft. SWMBO has found lots of the larger ones for sowing but despite being told the very small ones can be bought we have never found any, cheers mate.

    Jim.
