  • Newcastle Vs Sunderland

The next Tyne-Wear derby (20/04/08) looks like it could be the most important in recent history. Either side could be relegated if they lose. Whats the predictions then lads? going on recent form?? I think its got the makings of a classic!!

    I somehow doubt that !!

Both teams are playing absolute garbage.

I agree with Tony, unless things suddenly change over the next few weeks which i doubt,
I'm hoping for 2-0 to the Toon but more than likely a 2-2 draw.
A draw is no use for either team

the way they are both playing at the moment they will be battling it out for who finishes 2nd bottom and 3rd bottom! fulham are getting there act together just at the right time and have to play both teams. the only other hope is boltons fixtures are horrendous. next 4 are man utd, man city, arsenal and villa. but we shouldnt be relying on others to fail, but we are, again!!!!

Flatheed it's all to play for up to the end. The last three of them teams Man City, Arsenal and Villa are all chucking away points. Mind you we were awful on Monday.

I know it sounds obvious Flathead,if the Teams below Sunderland and Newcastle were'nt so poor we would be 19th and 20th.Take a look at the potential promotion hopefuls in the Championship, you cant really see any of them surviving,so if we both hang in this season we should be safe the following one as well.................just
              Cheers Alan...

the only positives you can draw is that sunderland have done ok against the teams around them and in reality any points taken elsewhere are a bonus. we have had a run of difficult games and after villa we have a couple where it is vital we take points. with jones and edwards off to play for t&t 9000 mile round trip getting back the fri before w. ham which is ridiculous at this stage of the season with us in such a dodgy situation by the way. i really do fear for us. it is totally up in the air, reading looked doomed a couple of wins later they look odds on to pull themselves out of it. we shall see.

So has the Toon............all of them lol.
I cant understand why clubs buy players that have long haul oversea's commitments for there home nations games,i dont mean to be dis-respectful to someone playing for the Country but in reality it could cost teams there league status
