    guys
haqve just bought my first caravan 6 berth tourer for quality time with the kids - can any of you who go towing a shed give me your recommendations for good sites to visit for the family (may be fishing orientated)

is this my first step towards middle ageness

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

5-6 hours might just get you to resipole on loch sunart - Resipole Farm Caravan and Camping Park

its right on the waters edge and you could drive up the loch a bit and accidentally hire an orkney for the day!, or go exploring and 'discover' loch aline pier! drive to then end of the peninsula and send the kids over to balamory for the day, and stay behind on the pier at kilchoan! or go with them - you can take 3 hour boat fishing trips from tobermory as well

I guess, more locally maybe northumberland ish

budle bay has a couple of sites, cresswell as well maybe

            Springhill Farm Cottages

Try this mate, very nice site in a great location with views of Farne Islands and Bamburgh castle all around you. A very friendly site with friendly owners.

You have a great choice of fishing marks with Seahouses, Beadnell and Bamburgh all within a few miles.
Best shore caught fish:- Pollock 6lb+ Beadnell, 9lb 8oz Cod Blyth Beach

                now then bob - stranger

how is it going mate - i take it you do not miss the starship then. I can not wait for the quality family time and being able to switch off from work at weekends (also the bbqs and beer will help).

thanks to you all for the advice there are some great suggestions.

                  Hi Jason,
things are going well, i dont miss the boat as i find i can get a lot more use out of the motorhome.....not having to wait for winds to die down or change direction at the weekends etc, i do however miss the crack with norman and some of the others down the marina, when i get time i do pop down but no one ever seems to be about........however i bet it will come as no surprise that the motorhome has as many big boys toys as the boat did.
I look in on the site everyday but dont normally bother logging in......if you fancy meeting up somewhere in the summer i would look forward to it
