    Full or part time Grant? We are always taking on temp contracts but would have to go through an agency called zenith people based in hebburn the only downside is its shift work but would be coming out with around £300 a week

                    I thought you worked at moonfleet? Or you after something a bit more permanent? I know it sounds ****ty and I'm not taking the mick but McDonald's are usually taking on staff, full time hours will get you £200 a week so its not to be sneezed at, I used to work there. Also a company in town called pertemps. Sign up with them and they will sort you different 13wk contracts.. Again these tend to be about £200 a week but quite often the temp post can lead to a full time job! My last one lasted me for 36mths!! They are next to the old odeon in newcastle. Best of luck with looking mate, nice to see a young lad making an effort.

                          Were going to be after an apprentice at my work in a couple of months if that's any interest to ya. Give me a shout if it is and I'll get you in.

                            New Training Initiative Launched

                            In order to grow the business further, Astley is now looking for the next generation of signage professionals to join their Trainee Development Programme which offers opportunities across the whole business including metal fabrication, plastic fabrication, electrical assembly, finance, graphic design, installation and estimating.

                            Training and development has been instrumental in the overall business strategy of the company with four employees who each joined Astley as apprentices over twenty years ago.

                            The programme will include a tailored in house training plan, competitive remuneration and structured mentoring support. Managing Director, David Redhead explains, “Our trainee development programme is essential to strengthen the business further and develop a strong team to drive future growth. We hope that by offering this fantastic opportunity we will be able to bring new ideas to our existing experienced and skilled workforce.”

                            Astley is looking for people who have 5 GCSE’s graded C & above or equivalent including Mathematics and English and be able to reliably travel to their head office at Team Valley, Gateshead on a daily basis.
