You doing a Fearnley Whittingstall?
the nearest game type butcher that I can think of is near my mums in Leyburn North Yorkshire
If someone can think of one nearer I'd be similarly interested as I've been after rabbit for quite a whileOoh a new vid!

Already had an offer of a brace of Pheasant (thanks) and Grainger market seems a likey target. A quiet pootle out into the country to a quaint farmers outlet would be nice though.
Wallsychops - I am buying the children strong flavoured meat this year instead of electronic gadgets, a well hung piece of venison will last longer than an Argos digital watch. I am going to pack the meat into a couple of footy socks just like those Rugby lads did before setting off for help after that tragic plane crash in the Andes. I feel children should be reminded that cannibalism is no laughing matter and Turkeys are just soo wrong.
If anyone has any Indian Grey jungle Fowl for sale I'd be interested"I mock thee not, though I by thee am mockéd.

There's a game and fish place in Corbridge. Don't know what road he's on, but there aren't many - a few doors down from the bank, I think. I've been threatening to make a game pie this Christmas so was planning to nip along myself some time tomorrow.

Just about to say until i read wallsendo's thread. Taylors fish mongers on acorn road in jesmond. couple doors down from tesco. I know he does a lot of frozen game but think he can also get it in fresh. His fish is worth a gander too- altho a bit pricy being in Jesmond an all.
Speaking of gander im after a goose if anyone know where to get a hold of one. There was a gaggle on Killy lake last year at xmas- lets hope they come back... (joking of course)
