My daughter has a HP Deskjet 710c printer which I gave her a couple of years ago and although it's an old one it's still in good working order. The problem is we (she) has lost the installation disc and I was wondering if anybody still has one of these printers and would be good enough to copy the disc or put up a download of it so that I can earn some brownie points. Thanks for looking and any help would be appreciated. BTW, HP have stopped any support for Win 98SE which she is using.

Bigh,
I have a drivers disc for this somewhere ( i used to own one) ...but HP are excellent in their support and If you google "hp 710c driver" you will get a link I am sure.
I found this by a google search
Hewlett Packard (HP) 710c driver - Hewlett Packard (HP) Printer Drivers - HP DeskJet 710c
But searching the HP site will get you what you want I am pretty sure.
Most drivers are backwards compatible, but if you really end up struggling I have had good results from driverfind.
Cheers

Thanks for the quick reply Dave. HP have stopped any support, including replacement discs, for the 710c and for Win 98 SE which my daughter is using. I have a download of the driver but I'm hoping to get the rest of the software for the installation. If all about you are catching fish, cast in their swim !!!

Bigh.
FOUND IT
PM me an address and I will get it off to you. When I think about it there might be a catridge or two in the back bedroom. Probably dried up though.

Hope this works as I have never done it before.
I copied disc to hard drive.
Removed all the foreign languages and then zipped up the file.
Its available to download here.
That should download the file. Unzip it and it certainly started the install on my pc, but stopped because it could not find the printer.
If it doesn't work perhaps someone could tell me where I went wrong...or I will just post the disc.
Cheers

Slight problem Dave, the printer isn't on my machine it's on my daughters. I'm not very techy myself so would I be able to download it and put it onto disc to take to my daughters house or does it just run from the file ???If all about you are catching fish, cast in their swim !!!

just download it h, stick it on a disk and then bung the disk in your daughters machine and it should be all tickety boo
might bw worth trying to expand the .rar file on your machine first in case your daughter don't have it on hersʎɐqǝ uo pɹɐoqʎǝʞ ɐ ʎnq ı ǝɯıʇ ʇsɐן ǝɥʇ sı sıɥʇ.

Bigh,
As mark says unpack it and burn it to cd.
The auto run and instal files are still there, all I did was take out the twenty or so alternative languages...please dont tell me your daughter only speaks serbo-croat
