Back Home imagine, examples a plenty -
If a substantial group of us ( A few hundred thousand, a majority even) marched on our capital demanding something from our leaders which they refused to give us what do you think THEY would do, have done, on many occasions. They would mobilise huge numbers of paramilitary stlyed police to " move us on" if we refused they would use horses, batons, CS Gas, rubber bullets, water cannon etc. If that didn't work they would call in the armed forces, they would stop at nothing to destroy something very similar, a form of protest which they describe as Undemocratic. In this country is is even illegal to protest directly in ANY form on any scale without permission outside of Westminster.
Yes the Burmese junta should go but the hypocritical, blinkered hand wringing associated with this situation makes me want to go absolutely effing postal
