      Norman,
      Do you subscribe to photobucket? It seems to be reasonably priced.

      Toni, answer to your question its yes. But you need to have it hosted.

      I use the local pub website or my own website hosting which costs less than photo bucket and is usefull for other things like hosting your own website.

      I cant get the first frame to show though. just a link to the file on the website. That must be a photo bucket feature.

      I know Elton has introduced a [utube]xxxxxxxx[/utube] tag on another forum. Wonder if it is planned for here?

      Cheers

        The url above the video is bust...bugger.

        If anyone can spot the mistake here, I'd appreciate it. I've got to log off for a while....

        Code:
        <table class="tborder" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="1" border="0" width="466"><tr><td class="smallfont"><strong>IMPORTANT NOTICE:</strong> No media files are hosted on these forums. By clicking the link below you agree to view content from an external website. We can not be held responsible for the suitability or legality of this material. If the video does not play, wait a minute or try again later.</div></td></tr>
        <tr><td class="smallfont" align="right"><a href="#" onclick="return toggle_collapse('{param}')"></a><a href="#" onclick="return toggle_collapse('{param}')"> I AGREE</a></td></tr><tbody id="collapseobj_{param}" style="display:none;"><tr><td class="alt1" align="center"><object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="<A href="http://www.youtube.com/v/{param}"></param><embed>http://www.youtube.com/v/{param}"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/{param}" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object></td></tr></tbody>
        </table>

            And rightly so. Enabling people to post html would cause all sorts of security issues.

            For YouTube, just wrap the tags around the video ID.

            i.e. [you tube]F3lSGDgfSdc[/you tube] {remove the spaces}
            Please note, however, that I added this in haste this morning and it may change if I can't tidy the code up

                Wtf !!

                I just tried looking around to see how you embed stuff into forums...granted the [you tube]...[/you tube] text wrap is linked to code in the background etc but take a look at this thread...it's mind blowing...I thought I was "savvie" but jeez it's like Chinese

                    Dave,
                    Photobucket is free, and great for stills, however vids seem to load slow so I find the best is to send to (host) with www.putfile.com again its free and the links seem to load a lot faster and run smooth.
                    see links in this thread http://www.nesa.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=13074 (about 9 posts into it)

                      Norman,
                      I host pics and vids on the company server, although recently i have been using the local pubsite to host them because i have been helping him to set up the site and its easier to get them on there.

                      At least that way I get no problems with speed and size etc on videos. Theres one on there thats over 300 mb and it downloads with no problem.

                      Cheers
