An outing last week highlighted the inadequacy of my budget rod, bought from a mate to take my lad fishing. While others pulled 5 cod from the water I couldn't tell a bite from a wave from a gust of wind.......
As with all things I was on a tight budget and cant stretch to the kit others do however much rod envy I get. I could just about get away with spending 50 without getting grounded by the boss.
I do like to shop local when I can but on this occasion I had to go for the best value on my tight budget.
Ended up with a Leeda Assasin 13' (rep 69.99) for £25 which meant I could sneak in a new Cree head torch and tip light off fleabay all for less than 50quid delivered.
Rod ordered at 11pm Sunday from Fishtec, arrived an hour ago. pretty damm good for Xmas week I'd say.
