just finished watching MOTD and thought you lads were unlucky the day like. I know they get their fair share of sh*te but I think bardsley and Cattermole are your best players cos their the only ones to seem to give a sh*t, larssons alright, that ki sung yung seems to be trying so does that borini, johnsons been a big let down and as for that altiore and your strikers!!! not wanting to state the obvious but that's where ur problem is. think you'se are GOING DOWN this season lads. merry Christmas.

cant agree more m8 , its pointless getting into the 6 yard box all day then duffing it with wide shots, shots only rugby players use etc . you can play well all season and still lose and that's whats happening , plenty of games left yet and only 3 points adrift now , so im still hopeful of a back end season revival . it only takes 1 point to be sent down remember.

Good way of getting Christmas off by Wes Brown.

Judging by Poyet's post match comments he seems to have resigned himself to whatever happens. I thought the manager's job was to inspire players to try and get the best out of them

It wont help him that the news keeps saying apart from the once, any team in 20th come xmas has gone down.

They really needed to pick up points from the likes of Norwich at home, not mnay easier games than that left. I think they have had it based on form and the lack of goals (other than own goals) but 2 wins could get them out of trouble, so still hope.

Newcastle seem to be fearless this season but still got them down for 7-8th finish.

                Really?
I reckon Newcastle have got a mint starting 11 and a couple of good subs...few injuries and the bubble bursts.
7-8th, but would love to see them back in champions league.

Sunderland look an alright side under Poyet but just cant seem to do the business and have been unlucky also.
This is always a tell tale sign of relegation...

I suspect there'll not be more than a couple of places between the toon and sunderland come May

tipping point for toon will be the arsenal match, if we can win this then it's plain sailing all the way, doddle

What do you base that on or have you been on the Christmas sherry

the fact that you can never rely on newcastle to not to completely screw it up, or ashley to sell half the team next month, and Joke Innear to replace them by promoting the groundsman to goal keeper and giving the number 9 shirt to the tea lady

and Sunderland are actually playing better than they have for a long while, just having bugger all luck, as much as I might like the gloating opportunities, (though sadly lacking in fizzy pop league punning potential) I still think they will escape the drop

I know we are only 4 points adrift but I can't see where a goal is going to come from never mind a win. The football is better but 30 passes across the back don't get you anywhere, when the ball eventually gets to the opposition's half there's only Dozy NeverScore up there.

There's the transfer window but which decent player in their right mind would come to a team bottom of the league.

Haven't completely lost hope yet but history tells you it's a long shot.
                            Cheers, Keith.
