Anyone had any issues on the A192 (think that\'s the right road - the one that passes East Hartford)... heading towards Blyth on Friday night and I came over the middle roundabout (the one that also has the right turn for nelson village/cram industrial estate).. been on a long drive that evening with no bother despite the rain, but coming off the roundabout i went onto the throttle and a split second later the car snapped out at the back wildly.. struggled to get control back but by the time i\'d straightened up we were heading for a tree via the grass verge...
No injuries, but i bust up the front bumper, mounts, paintwork etc and the car had to be pulled out (everything else checks out okay, so the damage wasn\'t *that* bad).... Went back along there the next morning to try and see why the car skidded so bad, barely 15\' off the roundabout the road surface changes (resurfaced) - saturday morning one part was bone dry, the other was glossy black - wet looking... gonna pop a letter into the highways department and see what they say.. looks like the surface of part of it was covered in greasey crap.. even the recovery truck skidded as he came around the corner.
couple of canny coppers turned up just after we\'d spun off, i got breathalysed for the first time ever (zero reading naturally) since there\'d been an accident and they tried to pull the car out but she was stuck on the wet grass and hanging over a lip on the verge....
