have stayed at a caravan a few times up at TAYNUILT,approx 6miles inland from lock etive. also approx 20 miles from OBAN.only cost around the £200 mark per week. have got p/no. if any good.oldish van but all mod cons sky tv,nice @warm.
I will be going up to Stanraer that week, or possibly a week either side. I go up at least once a year and stay in either Loch Ryan (Cairnryan) or Luce Bay around sand head.
Plenty of pollock mate, and also any amount of dogfish and mackerel off the local piers.
Chance of bass if you know where to go...some beauty bass caught in the area last year but I wont reveal the marks on the forum.
Cod in the autumn/winter but around that time of year rare.
If that sounds alright let me know and I can give you some caravan detail, marks places to visit etc....
kipfords a nice place mate, south west Scotland near kirkudbright, just down from stranrar went there about 15 years ago and had a go at lure fishing for pike on loch ken, was good sport, defo recommend it.
