    roof racks

    looking for a roof rack, clamp onto gutters type thing

    going on a discovery, something like a full rack you'd stick on a transit maybe
    or even a normal clamp on car roof rack, that wauy I could have that rack at the front and keep the roof bars as well. been looking all over to try find good old fashioned 'normal' roof rack with out success

    if you seen the price of a full rack that is for a 'land rover'

    you'll know why I'm seeking alternatives!!

    Mark, I've got one you can have mate, it's not been used for about 15 years or so and is just hung up in my out house. Will probably jost need some new bolts but should be fine.

      is it a clamp on gutters type??

      distance between hte gutters on the disco' is 57" but I'm sure I can fettle something if it'll not fit!!

        Aye just clamps on the gutters mate, I used it on three different cars so I would say it is about bog standard.

          what a star!


          I've got roof bars, and a box, but there's tons of room up there for a another normal rack, be away nearly a month so there's gonna be stacks of stuff to take

            I have to go to hospital on Friday morning apart from that I am free between 08:30 and 16:00 tomorrow and every other weekday if you are free. If not I can meet you over the weekend sometime.
