2. South Shields, Tyneside
3. Morden, Surrey

5. Stanley, Co. Durham
6. Jarrow, Tyne & Wear

Aye Jim, I did read something about that this week.

It\'s based on donations to charities.

I don\'t know about the other areas mentioned, but for years, South Shields and Jarrow have just about the highest unemployment and social depravation figures in the country and I suspect that the other N.E. towns mentioned; Stanley & Shildon have similar problems.
Hardly surprising that the people of those towns don\'t give as much to charity as the more affluent areas - they ain\'t got it to give.
