Mind I didn't pay for mine I get them from work
Ive had nothing but bother with the charcoal ones and petrol ones, pair of gloves is the best idea. Even had the gel filled ones that you microwave, didn't last long. The chemical ones i tried last week are ok but only last 1 session.

That's it mate but when you get a stonking bite on the end of the rocks I hate having to take them off to retrieve me fish. Most of the time my hands are out in the elements but I'm always busy so tend to keep nice and warm. I don't even know where my zippo one has gone and tbh I'm not bothered by it either.

                        With regards to hand warmers
My mum has had breast cancer and thank fu,k the operation was a success however due to nature of what had 2 be done her right arm is hyper sensative and really affected by the cold so she tried a few different hand warmers to no avail until she got the whitby warmer. She said out of all of them that she got its the only one where she can feel it working so that to me says that its worth every pennie and she has tried a few different ones hope thos helps lads

av had the cheap version for a good few year now cost around a 5er off ebay[looks same type as whitby but not]it works fine stays hot for over 8 hours on a fill[i fill every time am gonna use it, i light it put it in bag u get with it,hooked over me neck and left in smock top pocket at front so me hands go in the sides, tips are........do not hold it with wet gloves on it puts them outcarry 2 lighters to light it with at least cos when they get wet and damp they dont worksoon as im finished i snap the catalyst off the top and leave it off that puts it out[why let it burn and wear it out for nowt]and erm guys a havent even had mine outr this season so far so your all puffs its not cold enough yet lolatb plum
did eeerrrr ya snap it off like?thats a shame teeeheeeeheeeheeee and take your rubbish home and dont be a meth

The Zippos are a load of Crap imo. Replaced the Catalysts after one season in the hope they would stay lit & they are no better. Tried them last night & they went out within 3 hours again. It seems you need to keep them out of your pockets to keep them going.

also depends on the fuel , I tend to light mine in the house at least 2 hours before setting off out , and they have burnt for 12 to 14 hours once they get fired up . I find the swan fuel worked best , other fuels tend to burn off with black sooty smoke .
