    Was gonna go fishing next tuesday - but if the weather is as a**e as it is now I shan't be leaving the house

    Oh well - that spoils the limpet, rag, Lug, crab, mussel cocktail I was going to try out.....

    Roll on the mud fest that is Glastonbury!!!

    Try putting a "Raincoat" or something similar on. You can even buy things to keep the water off your hair "Hats" I believe they're called_ I know people who have been involved in major flood scenarios. Some of them even had to resort to wearing "Coats"

              My mum lives in that part of the world...just rang her all OK...phew

              The rain certainly is biblical at the moment....will still end up with a hose pipe ban in the south tho' I bet...good job we've got good old Kielder eh?

                A little dicky bird told me that hose pipe bans are imposed when the first few feet of water has evaporated and the pressure is greatly reduced, so they have to switch on the very expensive to run pumps that wipe out profit/dividends etc
