  • Whitley bay tackle shop

Dose anyone if a new tackle shop had opened on South parade, Whitley bay near Fitzgeralds pub

  • #2
As far as I know it's still in the process of being set up - no firm date yet for opening and it's primarily just going to be for bait, although I think the lad will also be selling a few rigs & sinkers etc, not a fully-fledged tackle shop.

It's up and running now - I got some yellows there a few weeks back - but I'm not sure of opening times etc. I think he's often out gathering / collecting bait etc, so it's probably best to check first…he advertises on Facebook & recommends texting orders / enquiries etc to 07928749649

He had a good selection of frozen bait incl. mussel, bluey, squid, clam etc. when I was in - I think his blacks / yellows usually come in at the end of the week, but obviously depends on tides.

          Hope this helps!

              tackle shop

most anglers use rhe net to buy fishihg tackle they save a few pennys but they cry when their local tackle shop closes use it or lose it springs to mind- ps i have not got any conection with tackle shops
old anglers never die -they just smell that way

Much prefer to save POUNDS and not worry about being in the 'click'.

no tackle shop can survive selling bait alone

                  Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

Just bean in. Two cheerful helpfull lads behind the counter. At the counter on the left hand side on the wall he's got the prices and what he's got bait wise. A good idea I thought

What do you mean about being in the click? As has been said you can often save a few quid using the web but try and get fresh bait on the same day your going fishing from the web
