    Can anyone let me know where the best/cheapest place to buy lead is as I'm wanting to make my own weights for my project

    try thompsons builders parade hendon but it aint has cheap as it used to be

                theres hardly any profit at all in making weights and even less in grippers for all the hassle you might aswell buy them

                      Thanks for keeping an ear out Jamie. I don't have anything to do with the council Keith otherwise a good idea. I bought some lead today 10 kilo for a tenner. I was thinking of trying to get someone to make them for my project and getting half the weight back but I think they'll work out more expensive than buying that way. Will have to look at trying to make them myself some time (if I ever get the time).

                        I was talking to a lad who works at a scrappy on saturday, he was saying they are currently paying 70p per kilo for lead so god knows how they are selling it for

                          by the time you have messed about with buying and then the time spent you would be better to buy them made - speak to sinkermanallan he is very reasonable.
