Regardless of all the tit for tat on here, day in day out,Newcastle will still be in the premier league next season, but after todays fiasco at Hull,Sunderland are well and truly bladdered. Two perfectly legitimate red cards, the second one being akin to attempted murder.
Neither of these tateys, should play for Sunderland again, and with little to lose,i believe it's time now to give the so called 'for the future' players their opportunity.

It must have been a really interesting game. Sunderland down to 9 men and Hull couldn't even score from open play.

still think you'll be safe. might not be by much, but reckon a great escape is in the offing again.

problem with both newcastle and sunderland is too many fans expect, if not demand instant results.

don't write them off just yet

Not just us mate. Arsenal fans all over the shop the end of last season and again beginning of this, saying Wenger has to go etc. After what he's done. And now they are flying its all rosey.

Part or modern day life wanting everything now it seems

It is still very early days...but I think it will be very, very difficult for Sunderland

Newcastle - so unpredictable! - mid table

To their credit, when the wheels (and a couple of passengers!) fell off the Black Cats' Gus Bus they put up a fight. Unlike the mags in the 2-3 capitulation at Sid James' Park

Ironic that the player in our side who always puts his body on the line, and is rarely, if ever, found wanting, is the one who the mackems still refer to as McShambles. He may not be the most talented player ever to grace a football pitch, but he does the simple, ugly stuff really well. That's often what's missing when a team starts to implode. Probably the greatest irony though, is that the man who many Sunderland fans blame for the root cause of their problems in recent seasons turns out to be quite an astute manager when it comes down to it.

Cattermole is probably Sunderland's best player...but a complete liability. Altidore - 1 goal in 40 PL matches. Not even worthy of being called a footballer IMO.

                      City 'til I die

                      cheers

couldn't agree more philly lad, cattermole can't pass, can't run , can't shoot and his tackles are hit and miss, and yet he's still sunderlands best player by a mile....... which is probably why you lot only have 4 points out of 30

Altidore's record is worse than danny grahams, and you lot slated him

When we had Altidore at the KC a lot of fans said the same sort of thing 'giving 100%' etc. etc. Simple fact is you'd be better off with a tailor's dummy because there would at least be the chance of a lucky deflection off it.

                              cheers
