Well the reason i said i never liked derby days at the start of this thread has just started...i.e stomach going and feeling stressed...I still cant wait for it but its going to be a long 5hrs or so.
Hoping for a good match, with no trouble before, during or after and with it being on sky sports again alot of passion shown by everyone.
Of course i am expecting a toon win but then again i was last time 3-0 the toon.
Good luck to everyone going, no chance of a ticket for me to this one but i have 2 tickets for the derby home game in Feb
Could be a belter of a match today. Hope the best team wins and no stupid red cards/decisions blight the game.
I fancy NUFC to sneak a win as derby games are usually close no matter what the form book says.
Can't see it going to well off the pitch though as with SAFC not selling all their tickets lots of these for the home end are now in the hands of Geordies.
Hopefully Sunderland's form will pick up after today & stay in the premiership as the 2 derby games are all either set of fans has to look forward to, although I can't see that happening to be honest.

I am a NUFC fan mate, went to my 1st game in 1976.
Wouldn't say we are looking forward to a good season though as I think we have some very over rated players in our squad S Taylor, Tiote, Cisse, Cabaye, Jonas to name a few. Can be decent when on form but just doesn't happen often enough. Squad is also to small when injuries & suspensions kick in, no experienced cover, & I expect us to finish bottom half again but should stay up as there are some very poor side's in the premiership this season, including SAFC.
But that is all we can expect with no investment by the owner.
