    a friend of mine is wanting to set up a website and has been told he can get a 10 page site for 2 years for £250. can anyone sugest any sites cheaper or do you think the price for the one i have mentined is good deal or not. he is looking for a forum type site with a chat page and one that can take pics. thats all i know at the moment as it was talked about in the pub last saturday after a small (ish ) ammount of alchohol lol. any help or info would be of help

    seems rather expensive to me.... as a comparision, the hosting I do gives unlimited storage, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited databases, unlimited email accounts etc etc. I've also built in a huge library of ready built stuff into the server - content management systems like php nuke (what the old nesa site was made of) image galleries, chat systems, forums, blogs etc allsorts, just ready to turn on. price per annum including top level domain name (.com, .net, .co.uk etc) £60

      cheers for that mark, what site is it and how do you go about starting it up so i can pass it on to him, when we were talking at the weekend i said i would ask.
      he worked it out and said it would coast the members of the club £6 for the two years but i think if he can get it cheaper he would. thanks again

        the hosting is not the primary thing I do, so never wrote a site to promote it, word off mouth/recomendations keep me plenty busy enough, pass on my email if they need something mark at ebgb.net

          is that the full email mark "ebgd.net" or is there some more to go with it

            mark at ebgb.net (not ebgd) never put the @ sign in a public forum with your email address, open invite to the spammers to hoover up your email address!

              cheers mark and that bit at the end makes very good sense, i just wonder if thats how my ebay is up the creek but i'm getting it soted through ebay live, new email addy etc
