Just had an hour down The Smugglers Roker with the family. Big Moon shining down on the sea looked gorgeous, flat as a fart though.

Had loads of gorgeous nights as a lad, with the sea as flat as a fart, a big moon, big tide with the weirs showing, up the skeers at Sharpness, Crawleys and the South Crab Hill. Gave that atmospheric feel to the evening and the odd bites feel bigger. Ah nostalgia..... -

One of the best night\"s fishing I ever had was on Rocky Island. I was just by myself but the moon was shining down on the sea just before the surf and it was great. I remember losing loads of gear for just a couple of fish. So what, it was great.Remember, some people are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.Comment
