Steve,
I was recently in a tackle shop in Leeds looking at some very expensive Daiwa and Shimano fixed spool reels (discounted to £250 plus !) and I got talking the owner who rated the Okuma reels as the best reels he had ever sold for reliability. Since stocking them, he had only ever sent one back which was his own and by his own admission he had given it some serious abuse. Whether that reliability extends to their new magnetic braked multiplier reel, I don't know but apparently all Okumas now come with a 5 year warranty.aka "Frodo Baggins"

Was fishing next to one of the lads in our club t'other week and he's got the 30 version. Says it's spot on, no probs, plenty of spool for line etc and has a very good retrieve.
Sounded so good we've got one for one of the prizes for our presentation evening raffle."And I looked, and behold'a pale horse; and his name that sat on him was death, and hell followed with hi, and power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword and with hunger, and with the beasts of the earth"
