Interior light or glovebox light staying on maybe? Parking light or something like that?

I had an intermittent wiring fault on a laguna a few years back that caused the battery to drain sometimes and not others. It was a right chow. Try looking on parkers cars forum for your make and model, it might point you in the right direction if its not a light

        battery

good chance its the blocking diode goosed mate, overnight the power from the battery will drain due to this faulty diode.

If you want to borrow a digital battery tester I've got one also.

          test

          do a simple test.
Switch off everything on car, have all the doors and boot shut, remove the negative power lead to the battery then lightly touch it back onto the battery terminal if there's a small spark then pull the plug off the alternator and try again if no spark then its the blocking diode at fault.

worth a try, costs nowt best of luck.

if its a new gel battery you will find that they are knackered once they go flat as you cant recharge them.

Parasitic drain from alarm, immobilizer, clock and such like.
If its got t1ts or tyres, its gonna be trouble.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem

the garage checked to see if the charging system was working but did thy check for a discharge ( drain ) from the battery
