as you are so reluctant to talk about your new "star" let me enlighten you
235 league appearances since 2004 season, only 76 ish in the top league (serie A)
14 apps for Italy, first one last year in euro 2012.
not exactly a household name, in any stretch of the imagination.

I never said we had signed gomis?
you are banging on about these players that the mackems have signed, yet they are all the dregs that other teams no longer want/need, and you don't seem able or capable of backing your arguments up?

Had anyone heard of cisse before the mags bought him ?????
I think not !!!!
And his record was very similar to jozy altidore
Only time will tellI am a fisherman !
It is not merely something that I do
It is who I am !
Fishing is not simply my escape.
It is where I am supposed to be.
It is not a place that I go
But a lifelong journey that I am taking
It is a passage that was shown to me and that I will continue to show others.
When you understand all of this you will then know me .
And we will fish together

I'm looking forward to the new season. I watched the Tottenham game where we thrashed them 3-1, the longer the game went on Sunderland would of scored more and more.
Di-Canio has the players fitness levels excellent, they look sharp and up for it. I liked the look of Cabral a free signing box to box midfielder who can pass and took his goal like a striker.
The attacking formation of Johnson, Giacherinini with Sess and Altidore. Not to mention the return of Fletcher.
Wes Brown will be like a new signing if he stays fit.
Cattermole, Bardsley, Bramble, Kilgallon, Elmo will not be missed.
Mignolet wanted away and Liverpool got the better deal IMO.

best player? you mean demba ba? that was in january, and of course it was a bad move for us, he was our top scorer (and sunderlands joint top scorer for a while) we struggled when ba left, few injuries, uefa football , all too much for a pretty small squad.
Gomis has reportedly signed, proven goal scorer , big & powerful, fingers crossed he does sign and hits the ground running, and we dont lose any one..
5under1and are one of the favourites to go down according to a few bookies, based on past prem league campaigns....least we forget the record low points (15?) total of 05 / 06
Funnily enough , I quite like pdc, hes enthusiastic & passionate, but he is a loose cannon, an unknown quantity.
A grown up debate would be nice now and then, but that would probably rule the majority of the smb's on here out judging by some of the replies.................
roll on the footy season! (and winter fishing on the rocks!)
Then goes on to call us something that a 5 year old would find funny
You really couldnt make it up

can you honestly say that out of all the "dregs" the mackems have bought so far you have actually heard of them, or seen them playing at a decent level?
As for gomis, 50 goals in 141 games in the french league isnt all that impressive,Overrated Bafetimbi Gomis Will Disappoint Newcastle Fans | Bleacher Report
