Anyone else watch this new show last night on Nat Geo? I know it's brought to you by the same production team behind Robson Green's show, but at least this features experienced anglers from around the globe, trying to outfish each other on their home turf. Marks are also awarded by the anglers for the "experience" involved in hosting each challenge.
I thought the first episode was pretty entertaining - fishing for white sturgeon in the waterways of Canada, followed by a trip down the Amazon for Peacock Bass....then what does the British guy come up with?? Fishing for flippin' gobies in a rock pool just like a bairn!!! No wonder the other two rated the experience so bad & relegated him from first place (after he won both of the other fishing challenges) so he ended up third.
Quite looking forward to the next one, just to see if the next Brit can come up with something better than kiddie-fishing and a pint in the pub....last night's effort did nothing for British angling on the world stage
