Sorry for my ignorance but what are these links for? Do they hold your weight/lead as you cast as that is what I was thinking they do? Just been on eBay getting a lot of new gear and came across them?? Any info appreciated thankyou

There for rotten bottoms , hang ya weight on the hook and ya bait clipped on the other hook , when it hits the water ya hook and weight release , utube them for a vidI am a fisherman !
