Float fishing help?

Hi,
I am relatively new to fishing and do most of my fishing at roker pier and am thinking of trying float fishing. is this a good idea or am I wasting my time?

I mainly want to try it as I seem to snag a lot at roker and I am wondering whether float fishing would stop this?

for a start your fishing days on roker pier may come to an end due to the problems over the last week or two with dip sticks.
possible you have been fishing in the wrong spot on the pier or you are casting short. float fishing can be very productive at times on any pier.

not a problem m8 sorry about negative remarks roker pier but some so called anglers ( they are not anglers just pricks) are doing there best get fishing banned on roker pier.
I myself have been fishing at roker for on and off 40 years its a great pier for young and old to enjoy a days fishing.
I now take my grandsons and it all could end thanks to a mindless few

yeah I heard what happened and I feel the same way good casting spot possibly ruined by a few idiots
