Lots to choose from, the best thing I can suggest is decide on the areas you like to fish and choose accordingly, as each club has its own boundaries and different fishing times. Whitley Bay, for example, fish between Tynemouth & Blyth. Seaton Sluice you can fish up as far as Amble and Bedlington fish as far up as Craster. Blyth (I think) can fish as far up as Seahouses. Times vary; again Whitley fish from 7.30 - 11pm with half hour to weigh-in. Sluice fish 7-11 with 1 hour to weigh-in. Tynemouth it's 7-10.30, although I believe they've made a few changes to their boundaries etc for next year.

I also fish with South Beach, whose midweek matches are 6.45-9.45 with a 45 min weigh-in (boundaries are Tyne to Newbiggin) with longer matches on sundays and boundaries extended up to Creswell, so perhaps better for those who might have to get up early on a weekday. There are also a few clubs that fish Tynemouth pier matches if that's your thing. Subs & match fees will vary as well, with some favouring more money & more payouts, maybe monthly heaviest fish etc.

Best to do a bit of research and choose the club that suits you best. If you want any info on Whitley or South Beach you can drop me a PM. Likewise davidhayley1945 can fill you in on Tynemouth, The Spaniard can tell you about Seaton Sluice, codman56 for info on Bedlington or Howitzer can tell you about Blyth...I'm sure there are many other members on here too who could give you some info about their clubs.
