went down from 1pm till haf 2. First few casts nout, little nibble resulted in a small flattie, thought that would be that for the day but next cast=fish, cast after= fish. then it never stopped. all in all only had 2 casts that didn't result in a fish ended up with 14 in the end all flatties about half a pound some slightly bigger. my dad somehow managed only 1!! haha he's had a right mare over the last few sessions.

first time i've used braid in the river today too. used 15lb braid and a short shock leader with 4oz grippers with my shaky flatty, couldn't have been happier, 4.8 roaring tide and was cutting through it like butter right in the middle, didn't loose one lead! bite detection with the braid was amazing too, i could see the tiniest of nibbles and it never seemed to loop round with the tide. the flattie rod Gave me a nice little bend when i had a fish on too so that's definitely my river setup from now on.
sorry no pics this time as they were only small.
