Well as i previously said I was going to fox pond to try fly fishing. The owner was very friendly loaning me his gear and giving lots of advice. The wind was a bit hard to cope with but after some tips from the guy fishing next to me "slow down" ( i think he was afraid of losing a eye ), i managed to get into the swing of it . The people fishing there were very friendly and i had the pleasure of watching one guy battle with a 8lb rainbow , which on light gear was a great battle that the fish won 2 foot from the net . I managed to fish for about 5 hours before my arm and wrist no longer worked. Really enjoyed my time there with lots of pulls on the line . Going back next week with my lass as she can bait fish there with worm as well as try with a fly .
And what you all really want to know is my final catch tally ........... 2 trees,1 bush,1fence post , back of my head twice, jacket, bloke next door rod bag and.............these 2 little beauties :-) .Would recommend it to anyone
